Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

Most of my blog posts nowadays are written on my iPhone; I read Twitter on it, and the news, and a whole bunch of blogs, and my email, both personal and business. I never thought I’d say this just a few years ago, but my mobile phone has changed the way I interact with technology, and so it seems appropriate to remember Steve Jobs, who passed away earlier today.

As it’s normally better to let someone speak for themselves, here’s a video of Jobs’ speech to Stanford University graduates in 2005.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, don’t settle and keep looking.”

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

RIP Steve.
