There are a few writers who’ve made me look at Doctor Who in new ways. Russell T Davies is one of them, Paul Cornell is another. I comparatively recently stumbled across another member of this group, Philip Sandifer, writer of the TARDIS Eruditorum blog. Effectively a series of essays covering each episode of Doctor Who, together with related topics, the blog is a wealth of insight, sometimes completely changing what I thought about a story and always teaching me something new.
Do when it was announced that the second volume of the book version of the blog was being released, I bought it as soon as I could load up Amazon. If you’re interested in a different slant on Doctor Who, and don’t mind having some strongly held fan tenets challenged, please check it out.
